Who are you?
My name Is Dylan Wilkinson. I’m 21 years old and love music. I grew up in Loranger and was raised by some amazing parents. I have two older siblings: a 31-year-old brother, and a sister that’s 26 years old. I have two beautiful nieces and nephews. In August 2014 I started my own business, Blue Hawk Apparel, with my friend and co-worker, Tony Romain.
What do you do?
I graduated with a degree in Graphic Communications and Design from ITT-Tech in December 2013. I am a Graphic Designer and a Social Media Manager for 5 Stones Media. Not only do I manage social media accounts for clients, I specifically work with the social media team designing any graphics or images my team needs for their social accounts, contests, or campaigns.
Why do you love working for 5 Stones Media?
Working at 5 Stones Media is amazing. Not only do I work with some amazing and supportive people, but I also love how we approach everything as a team. While working at Chick-fil-A I learned the value and importance of teamwork and I couldn’t imagine working without my team. Not only do I love the tech industry, but I’ve always been interesting in marketing and helping businesses grow. This makes 5 Stones Media is the perfect place for me.
What inspires you?
There are many different people/things that inspire me in different areas of my life. Most music inspires me to be a better musician, but specifically Ed Sheeran. His lyrics and flow is original. It has influences from all genres of music, which is why I like it so much. Another inspiration in my life is pretty much anyone who is doing something to make the world a better place.
What is one thing you can’t live without?
The one thing I couldn’t live without would be music. I absolutely love it and listen to it every second of every day. Not only do I listen to music but I also play it. I play drums, guitar, and love writing songs.
What’s your secret superpower?
I would say my secret superpower is remembering lyrics.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve ever learned?
I’ve learned many lessons in my life, but the most important is to pay attention and appreciate the little things in life. So often we get wrapped up in life and take the little things for granted.
What’s your biggest pet peeve?
I would say my biggest pet peeve is when people text or email me in all caps. I feel like I’m getting yelled at and instantly get mad.
